Rebecca L. Stinson, M.Ed.

 

Rebecca, currently, principal of Claremont Elementary School, in the Chicago Public School (CPS) system, has opened new public schools in two of Chicago’s most under served and under performing communities.  She was recognized by the CPS’ CEO in the yearly Principal Evaluations for achieving high student scores in reading and mathematics, which put the schools in the top seven percent of schools that were accelerating.

She is a member of the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development and presented Data! Dialogue and Decisions! at the 2007 ASCD Conference in Anaheim, California.  As a member of the Office of Principal Preparation and Development, she served as a mentor for new principals, guiding School Improvement Planning Activities for Academic Advancement.

She is a past Vice President of the Jack and Jill of America Chicago Chapter. Rebecca has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C., and a Master of Education from the National Louis University, Chicago, IL.
